Ershad declares 18-point manifesto for 'good governance'
As ‘good governance and development of the nation’ Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad has declared an 18-point manifesto on from a rally of the Sammilito Jatiya Jote at Suhrawardy Udyan.
His manifesto promises administrative decentralisation, reforms to the election process and the Election Commission and stringent measures to curb violence.

The Sammilito Jatiya Jote or United National Alliance led by Ershad organised the rally to demonstrate its political prowess ahead of the eleventh national election.
Ershad expressed his doubt over holding the upcoming 11th parliamentary election and said. We are in grave concern over holding the next polls. We don’t know whether the election will be held. A political party has given a seven-point demand which cannot be possible to implement as per the Constitution.
