Yaba dealer killed in Cox’s Bazar 'gunfight'

A Yaba dealer has been killed in a 'gunfight' Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar district on Friday (24 August).

The deceased is Azizur Rahman Azad, 42, son of Anisur Rahman, of Savar.

Teknaf Police Station OC Ranojit Barua said, "The incident happened in front of Palli Bidyut office early Friday when Azad was trying to escape a police check post riding on a microbus."

The Rab members have recovered some 20,000 pieces of yaba tablet, a torched microbus, a foreign pistol and three rounds of bullets from the spot.
